Job summary

Alliance Health & Human Services in Massachusetts is hiring an Activities Assistant for per diem, part-time work. You will assist with planning and executing therapeutic activities for residents, support dementia care, and collaborate with staff to create engaging programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and good communication skills required.
• Would perfer 1 year experience working with residents/patients in a long term care setting.
• Previous Dementia care experience/Dementia care certified preferred not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with record keeping of progress and activity attendance.
• Assist with mail delivery, transporting residents to and from activity programs, preparation of monthly activity calendar, and contributes to monthly newsletter and fund-raising efforts.
• Directs or carries out a program of activities which will provide entertainment, inter-communication, exercise, relaxation, and opportunities to express creative talents and fulfill basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
