Job summary

Alliance Health & Human Services in Marlborough, MA is seeking an Activities Assistant to support daily recreation programs for residents. You will help plan and implement activities, engage residents in goal-directed plans, and assist with individualized care plans under the supervision of the Activity Director.

The role requires a high school diploma, friendly demeanor, teamwork, and the ability to transport residents to program activities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Skills in crafts, music, education or physical activities helpful.
• Friendly, outgoing, warm, caring and patient.
• Willingness to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing a recreation program.
• Provide resident-specific, goal-directed recreation; facilitate small groups.
• Document progress notes describing services and responses; help develop a care plan.
• Involve residents and family in assessment and care planning when possible.
• Transport residents to and from recreation programs.
