Legacy Healthcare LLC in Glenview Terrace is seeking a dedicated Activity Aide for part-time weekend work. The role focuses on planning and leading engaging activities to enhance residents' quality of life, while fostering a welcoming atmosphere and thoughtful supervision.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with older adults, demonstrate patience and compassion, and can tailor activities to individual interests and abilities. CPR/First Aid certification may be required by the facility.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience working with seniors or in healthcare is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification may be required by the facility.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and leading daily activities for residents.
• Organize games, arts and crafts, music, exercise, and social events.
• Encourage participation while respecting individual abilities.
• Provide one-on-one activities for residents who prefer not to participate in groups.
• Assist residents with getting to and from activities safely.
• Set up, clean up, and maintain activity areas and supplies.
• Coordinate special events and community outings.
• Interact with residents in a friendly, respectful manner.
• Record attendance and participation data.
• Follow facility policies and infection-control guidelines.
• Collaborate with nursing, dietary, therapy, and social services.
