Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers requires a Recreation Coordinator to develop and coordinate programs for independent living residents, addressing physical and social needs. You’ll plan events, manage communications, and work with volunteers to provide engaging activities.

Two years of experience in senior programming is required, along with CPR certification and strong English skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Publisher) and ability to handle transportation logistics and use digital tools are

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in planning/coordinating programs/events in senior care.
• Excellent English reading, writing and verbal communication.
• Proficient Microsoft Office; experience with Publisher.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate recreation programs for independent living residents.
• Plan events, trips, and activities addressing social, educational and physical needs.
• Create newsletters, calendars, and flyers; distribute publications.
• Arrange room setups, transportation, and supplies for events.
• Coordinate volunteers with supervision and resident involvement.
• Track attendance and report changes in resident well‑being to supervisors.
• Maintain and possibly oversee digital activity technology and enrollments.
