Job summary

Homewood Retirement Centers is seeking a recreation program coordinator to develop and coordinate engaging activities for independent living residents. You will work as part of a team to address physical and social needs, organizing trips, events and community activities.

The role requires two years of experience in senior care programming, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and Publisher. CPR and First Aid certification are preferred and driving may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in planning/coordinating programs/events for seniors.
• Excellent English communication and customer service skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Publisher.

Responsibilities

• Develops and coordinates recreation programs to meet residents' physical and social needs.
• Coordinates programs, trips, events and activities using community resources.
• Maintains event records and communicates with the Therapeutic Recreation Director.
