Job summary

Great-Lakes-Management-Co. is seeking an Activities Assistant to support the Activities Coordinator by planning and leading a range of programs for residents.

The role emphasizes creativity, group leadership, and attentive communication to meet social, physical, mental, emotional, and sensory needs. Typically Monday through Friday, about 15 hours per week, indoor climate-controlled environment with occasional outdoor field trips.

Qualifications

• Creativity in developing and planning activity programs.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for assisting Activity Coordinator with planning, promotion, and facilitating/leading each event or program.
• Assess resident’s recreational and social needs.
• Support development of monthly Activity Calendar of Events.
• Lead small, large and one on one activity programs with seniors.
• Research and recommend to Coordinator entertainment/educational speakers/church representatives, etc.
• Support coordination of transportation needs to outside events/programs in accordance with established policies and procedures. Accompany residents on field trips as assigned.
• Work cooperatively with assigned volunteers and direct their assignments to support the resident programming.
