Kauhale Creve Coeur is seeking an energetic Activities Assistant to join our team for full-time work. You will plan, organize, and lead engaging programs that promote social interaction, creativity, physical well-being, and overall quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities include planning daily activities, leading group events, providing one-on-one activities, preparing spaces, and coordinating outings.

Qualifications

  • Experience with seniors, healthcare, recreation, or activities is preferred but not required.
  • Friendly, patient, dependable, and compassionate personality.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Creative and enthusiastic approach to planning activities.
  • Ability to interact respectfully with individuals with different abilities and needs.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Assist with outings, celebrations, and community events.
  • Maintain a positive, welcoming, and respectful environment.
  • Build meaningful relationships with residents/participants and learn their individual interests and preferences.
  • Document participation and provide feedback to the Activities Director or supervisor as needed.
  • Work cooperatively with other staff members to support the overall needs and well-being of residents/participants.
  • Follow all safety, infection-control, and organizational policies and procedures.

Job description

We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team on a full-time basis. Schedule

Full-Time: Approximately 40 hours per week.
Schedule may include weekdays, weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings depending on program and facility needs.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the facility for extended periods.
  • Ability to assist with setting up and transporting activity supplies and equipment.
  • Ability to safely assist participants as required within the scope of the position.
