Job summary

Allen View Healthcare Center, part of CommuniCare Health, is seeking a Certified Activities Director (CTRS) to lead our activities team in Springfield, OH. You will plan, develop, and evaluate resident-centered activities and advocate for residents’ rights and preferences.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Therape utic Recreation or a related field (or 90-hour course) and prior management experience. Candidates must have an active driver’s license and be able to drive as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field or completion of 90-hour course for activities professionals.
• Prior management, supervisory, or leadership experience in a healthcare environment.
• Must have ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant.
• Must be willing to plan, organize, and conduct a variety of activities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and evaluate diversified resident-centered activities.
• Involve residents in planning individualized activities programs and advocate for their needs.
• Participate in resident, family, and department meetings and other committees.
• Maintain records and reports related to activities and participate in fundraising events.
• Promote relationships with community organizations through outings and volunteers.
• Identify need for and perform disciplinary action as required.
