Job summary

Relavix Health Group, through Careview Transitional Care of Weston, is seeking an Activities Assistant to create engaging programs for skilled nursing residents in Weston, WI. You will support the Activities Director to foster joy, purpose, and social connection through tailored activities and compassionate interactions.

Ideal candidates bring experience in event planning or recreational therapy, plus a passion for senior care. A high school diploma is required; training is provided.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
• Experience in event planning or recreational therapy preferred.
• Experience in assisted living or SNU/SNF settings highly desirable.
• Familiarity with long-term care practices essential.
• Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families and staff.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and be self-motivated.
• Compassionate approach towards residents.
• Flexibility to adapt activities based on resident capabilities and interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist Activities Director.
• Plan and facilitate recreational activities promoting physical, emotional, and social well-being for residents.
• Collaborate with staff to tailor activities to resident needs.
• Maintain schedule management for daily events and prepare materials in advance.
• Provide companionship and support to residents during activities and foster community.
• Communicate with residents, families, and staff regarding activity planning and preferences.
