Job summary

NVIDIA Stuttgart seeks a Senior Software Engineer to adapt NVIDIA DRIVE Active Safety software to customer vehicles, diagnose system-level issues, and validate active safety features in development and production cars. You’ll work across perception, fusion, planning and vehicle integration to trace problems and drive robust solutions.

You will implement targeted C++/Python adaptations, configure software for diverse platforms, perform in-vehicle testing and data-logging, and communicate findings

Qualifications

• 8+ years in ADAS development and in-vehicle activities.
• Strong understanding of active safety and functional safety.
• Experience designing threat assessment algorithms and TTC.
• Hands-on with radar/camera perception outputs.
• Proficient in Linux and/or QNX embedded environments.
• Able to isolate issues via log analysis and data review.
• BS/MS in relevant engineering field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and adapt NVIDIA DRIVE Active Safety software on customer development and production vehicles.
• Triage and analyze issues across the safety chain from sensor input to maneuver behavior.
• Collaborate with NVIDIA and customer teams across regions to identify root causes and deliver solutions.
• Configure and tune software for different platforms, sensor configurations and braking performance.
• Implement targeted C++ or Python adaptations and debugging tools.
• Measure performance using replay data and in-vehicle testing; report findings.
• Support vehicle bring-up, data logging, testing and validation activities.
