Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Autonomous Vehicle Control Integration Engineer to advance the development of vehicle dynamics and control, and to integrate control algorithms across platforms. The role focuses on building the AV software stack, trajectory tracking, and state estimation using C/C++ in real‑time embedded environments.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of work experience in relevant fields.
• Knowledge and hands‑on background in control theories (classical/modern/nonlinear/MPC/optimal/robust/sliding mode).
• Understanding of state estimation techniques (Kalman filter, Luenberger observer).
• Ability to develop vehicle models and perform parameter identification and benchmarking.
• Knowledge of high‑level algorithm design and prototyping in Matlab/Simulink/Python for product oriented implementation with C/C++.
• Experience in architectural design and software development with C/C++ for real‑time embedded control systems (ECU).
• Understanding of test and verification methodologies for automotive software; writing unit and system level tests.
• Experience of integrating, tuning, and validating prototype/production control software with vehicle network layers.
• Experience of development and/or usage of in‑vehicle control software verification and calibration tools for autonomous applications.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development related to vehicle dynamics and control and support other teams (ACC/LK, urban driving, trajectory planning, etc).
• Design technologies to build Autonomous Vehicle software stack and write new modules that drive our vehicles.
• Provide feedback on system architecture, failure modes, and redundancy for product level.
• Build offline and online benchmarks for vehicle control.
• Define and build tools to tune vehicle dynamics control and calibration updates.
• Lead integration efforts of control functionality across platforms and troubleshoot issues.
• Develop and maintain vehicle test suites and automated tests to prevent regressions.
• Work on groundbreaking technology and help build a world‑class system.
