Job summary

Strategic Systems Programs is seeking a Section Head of the Acquisition Section (SPC12) for the Conventional Prompt Strike program. You will provide policy expertise, guidance on acquisition management, and lead strategy, planning, and document development in support of SSP.

You will oversee acquisition staff, coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, and brief leadership on contract and budget implications as well as requirements impacts while ensuring DoD 5000 compliance.

Qualifications

• Specialized experience in Navy/DoD 5000 acquisition management.
• Ability to manage major defense acquisition programs and ensure timely document delivery.
• Experience briefing leadership on acquisition issues and budget implications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Acquisition Section (SPC12) for the CPS program office.
• Develop and maintain acquisition strategy and plan; prepare required documents for reviews.
• Manage status and staffing of acquisition documents for external commitment; ensure quality, DoD 5000 compliant outputs.
• Brief leadership on acquisition issues, contract and budget implications, and requirements impacts.
• Supervise acquisition team and coordinate with stakeholders; provide subject matter expertise in acquisition.
