Fluidstack is seeking an acoustics engineer to predict and manage noise for gigawatt-scale data center templates. You will model outdoor sound propagation, quantify equipment noise, and specify barriers and enclosures to stay within limits.

You will run environmental noise studies, work with mechanical and electrical teams, and ensure hearing conservation and regulatory compliance across sites.

Competenze

• 5+ years of acoustics or noise control engineering on industrial, power generation, or mission-critical facilities.
• Fluency in an outdoor sound propagation tool such as CadnaA or SoundPLAN.
• Hands-on with environmental noise measurement, sound power and sound pressure data.
• Working knowledge of occupational noise standards such as OSHA 1910.95 and local noise ordinances.
• Ability to explain acoustic trade-offs to mechanical/electrical engineers and enforce limits.
• Bonus: INCE Board Certification or Professional Engineer license.

Mansioni

• Predict property-line and community noise for template data center designs.
• Quantify noise of on-site gas generation, transformers, and switchyards.
• Specify barriers, silencers, enclosures, and equipment selections to meet limits.
• Keep occupational noise exposure limits in plant/work areas within guidelines.
• Produce noise assessments, reports, and measurements for permitting and engagement.
