Job summary

RTX BBN Technologies in Middletown, RI is seeking a senior engineer to develop and optimize real-time software for advanced detection systems. You will design algorithms, implement software architectures for sensor systems, and contribute to hardware-in-the-loop evaluations in high-fidelity mission scenarios.

Candidate must have 10+ years in real-time engineering, strong C/C++ and MATLAB skills, and hold an active DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. in STEM.
• 10+ years of engineering experience in real-time environments.
• Extensive real-time C/C++ development experience.
• MATLAB programming for design, prototyping, and data analysis.
• Experience with signal processing concepts.
• Willingness to travel for field tests and customer events.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop sophisticated detection and classification algorithms for start-of-the-art systems.
• Design and optimize sensor system architectures for lifecycle and execution.
• Support real-time evaluation and hardware-in-the-loop testing in realistic scenarios.
• Maximize architecture performance on embedded targets.
