Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan is seeking an Accounts Payable Accountant to manage end-to-end AP processes in Kalamazoo, MI. The role supports GAAP-compliant financial reporting and internal controls within the Finance and Accounting team.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in AP and general accounting, strong Excel and ERP experience, and a detailed, accuracy-focused mindset to help improve processing efficiency and donor-restricted fund handling.

Qualifikationen

• Five or more years of progressive accounts payable and general accounting experience.
• Advanced Excel skills including PivotTables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas.
• Experience with ERP systems (Dynamics GP, Oracle, SAP, Sage iNTacct, QuickBooks, NetSuite).
• Thorough understanding of GAAP, internal controls, and financial compliance.
• Experience processing high-volume invoices, vendor payments, and maintaining vendor records.

Aufgaben

• Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process including invoices, expense reports, and payments.
• Reconcile invoices against POs, contracts, and receiving documents for policy compliance.
• Maintain vendor master records and ensure IRS W-9 and 1099 compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities and audit preparation.
• Prepare electronic payments, ACHs, wires, and checks while maintaining internal controls.
• Generate AP reports to support cash flow, budgeting, and decision-making.
