We are seeking a Senior Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Chicago office. Your role is vital to our organization’s success, ensuring accurate accounts payable reports, maintaining documentation, and processing invoices efficiently. You will collaborate with colleagues across the US, from the East to the West Coast.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure adherence to accounts payable controls and approvals.
• Process accounts payable transactions timely, with proper expense coding.
• Manage AP support software and reconcile it with the ERP system.
• Handle weekly payment runs and obtain necessary approvals.
• Serve as the primary contact for suppliers and maintain vendor information.
• Support month-end and year-end close activities.
• Reconcile credit card statements and oversee related controls.
• Provide oversight and support to the AP team.
• Process invoices accurately, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare payments via check, ACH, or electronic transfers.
• Build and maintain vendor relationships, resolving inquiries promptly.
• Train and guide junior staff.
• Assist in month-end closing and special projects.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of progressive accounts payable experience.
• Strong knowledge of AP and 3-way match process.
• Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Salary & Benefits:

The Illinois salary is $27/hour, with benefits including health care, life insurance, paid time off, holidays, and a 401(k) plan.
