Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field and five+ years of hands-on full cycle Accounts Payable experience.
• Five+ years of supervisory experience.
• Three years of hands-on full cycle Accounts Payable experience with midsize software system.
• Required supervisory experience and training of new employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Accounts Payable Department including processing, verification, posting and timely payment of invoices and credit memos.
• Maintain accounts payable records for multiple corps sites in the Intermountain Division.
• Ensure month-end closings and reconciliation with balance sheet accounts.
• Ensure accuracy of account numbers and filing of accounting documents.
• Prepare materials for audits by outside auditors and Salvation Army internal auditors.
• Train staff on the payable system and supervise staff performance.
• Maintain a positive, service-focused work environment and handle special projects as assigned.
