Job summary

MassDevelopment, the state's development finance agency and land bank, seeks a Senior Accounts Payable Coordinator to oversee invoice processing, payments, and month-end close while maintaining accurate financial records. You will be the primary vendor contact, resolve billing issues, prepare accruals, and support audits and year-end tasks.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s in accounting/finance or 3–5 years AP experience, plus proficiency in ERP systems (Great Plains), Excel, and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance preferred or 3–5 years AP experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems; Great Plains a plus.
• Excellent Excel and Word skills with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process invoices and purchase orders for accurate vendor payments.
• Enter AP transactions in the system and verify invoices per policies.
• Review budgets for PO requests and approved expenses.
• Process wire transfers and lead weekly check runs.
• Prepare pre-check registers for review and approval.
• Act as primary vendor contact; reconcile statements and disputes.
• Support monthly AP close, accruals, and reconciliations.
• Assist with audits and gathering documentation; participate in process improvements.
