Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services’ Terrell State Hospital seeks an Accounting Technician II to provide high-level financial support in the facility’s accounting office. You will manage trust fund deposits, reconciliations, and voucher preparation while ensuring compliance with HHSC policies.

The role requires detailed knowledge of accounting principles, strong Excel/Word/Outlook skills, and the ability to train others.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and procedures.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Experience with accounting audits and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Process deposits and trust fund transactions for the facility.
• Code, post, and balance financial documents in CTF and related systems.
• Coordinate procurement card usage and reconciliations.
• Prepare and audit vouchers, deposits, and cash reconciliations.
• Provide trainee support and assist in payroll and travel processes.
