American Refrigeration Supplies, Inc. is a Phoenix-based wholesale distributor of HVAC equipment and supplies with 85 years in business. We are seeking a motivated Accounting Supervisor for our Corporate Phoenix office, a full-time role with typical hours 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.

The position oversees AP, GL, month-end close, and internal controls, while mentoring accounting staff and supporting the Accounting Director. Strong communication and multitasking skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma is required; college degree preferred.
• 5+ years corporate accounting experience; 2+ years in supervisory roles.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen.
• Strong communication skills with ability to handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily accounting operations including Accounts Payable and general ledger activities.
• Oversee processing of vendor invoices, expense reports, and payment runs.
• Prepare month-end close tasks including accruals, reconciliations and journal entries.
• Monitor AP aging and vendor statement reconciliations; maintain vendor relationships.
• Prepare monthly financial reports and variance explanations for review.
• Assist with audit preparation and respond to requests.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and branch teams to resolve invoice/cost discrepancies.
