One Nevada Credit Union in Las Vegas is seeking a Senior Accounting Specialist to lead month-end close activities, ATM settlement balancing, and complex reconciliations, ensuring accurate financial reporting and strong internal controls.

You will support regulatory reporting, assist the Assistant Controller, mentor accounting staff, and help develop automated processes to improve efficiency and controls within a collaborative finance team.

Formación

• Month-end close responsibilities and general ledger reconciliations.
• Regulatory reporting and accounting for affiliated entities.
• Advanced spreadsheet and analytical skills to resolve complex accounting issues.

Responsabilidades

• Complete month-end close activities and assist with general ledger reconciliations and issue resolution.
• Perform accounting and reconciliations for affiliated entities and support audits and examinations.
• Manage daily ATM settlement balancing, monitor cash activity, investigate discrepancies, and identify potential fraud risks.
• Prepare and submit regulatory reports including the NCUA 5300 Call Report, FR-2900, 1099 reporting, backup withholding filings, property tax reports, and escheatment reporting.
• Assist in reviewing and supporting the work of Accounting Specialists, provide training, and maintain departmental procedures.
• Develop and enhance automated reconciliations, reporting tools, and workflow efficiencies.
• Recommend process improvements to strengthen controls, accuracy, and operational effectiveness.
