Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• Proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Experience with account reconciliations, month-end close, financial analysis, and working papers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and collaboration with auditors and funding agencies.
• Solid understanding of internal controls and audit requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Lead the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with grant agreements and restricted funds.
• Prepare, review, and reconcile grant-related financial activity and reporting.
• Analyze financial data and provide process improvements and reporting accuracy.
• Support annual audits and funding audits with schedules, reconciliations, and documentation.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
