Job summary

PCA is seeking a Senior Accounting Associate for our Opelika, Alabama plant to maintain general ledger entries, process payables and receivables, and prepare timely financial reports in accordance with GAAP.

Requirements include a high school diploma (Associates preferred), 3 years in accounting/payroll, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work in a deadline-driven environment. We offer a competitive salary, annual bonus, vacation, 401(k) with match, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to high school diploma required.
• Three (3) years' experience in accounting/payables/payroll.
• Experience with automated payroll systems and general ledger.
• Strong Excel skills and computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Post entries to the general ledger and balance accounts.
• Process accounts payable transactions and batch payments.
• Post and collect accounts receivable transactions and adjustments.
• Support weekly payroll processing and month-end closings.
• Prepare timely financial reports and respond to controller requests.
