Job summary

Würth Elektronik Group in Watertown, SD is seeking a detail-oriented accounting professional to support financial reporting, maintain the general ledger, and drive process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role focuses on accurate statements, complex reconciliations, month-end close, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. A Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of accounting experience with GAAP/IFRS knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS and financial reporting principles.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with ERP systems (Epicor a strong plus).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Payroll experience a plus.
• Knowledge of Canadian Accounting Principles a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements
• Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries and adjustments
• Support month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely completion
• Maintain compliance accounting policies
• Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data
• Assist with audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and controls
• Support optimization of financial systems and tools
