Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. in Duluth, GA is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team on-site.

The role focuses on accurate financial reporting, month-end close, GL reconciliations, and supporting internal and external audits. The ideal candidate has 5–6+ years in corporate or manufacturing accounting, strong SAP and Excel skills, and a solid grasp of U.S. GAAP.

The position offers a collaborative environment and opportunities to lead accounting projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

• 5–6+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of SAP experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis, and reporting.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Experience supporting and owning month-end close activities, CPA designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform detailed account analysis to ensure accuracy of financial data.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounts, documents, and reports.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Support internal and external audit processes by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Provide timely and accurate financial reporting to management.
• Develop and monitor budgets and forecasts.
