Job summary

WEG Electric Corp. is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our Finance team in Duluth, GA.

This role ensures accurate financial reporting, general ledger integrity, and supports critical close activities in a corporate manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate has 5–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, strong SAP knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• 5-6+ years of progressive accounting experience in a corporate or manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 2 years of SAP experience.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, complex formulas and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial accounting principles.
• Experience supporting and owning month-end close activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare, review, and post journal entries for month-end close.
• Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.
• Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
• Assist with preparation of financial statements and reports.
• Provide timely financial reporting to management.
• Assist in developing annual budgets and forecasts.
• Monitor budget vs. actual performance and report variances.
• Work with WEG Business Services to accomplish tasks.
