Job summary

Vertex is seeking a lead accountant to manage all accounting aspects for product lines, including revenue recognition, transactional flows, invoicing, reporting, and intercompany activity. You will ensure robust documentation, serve as the accounting voice in key working groups, and drive efficiency across the team.

You will guide the design and refinement of processes for scalability, preparing the organization for future launches and establishing best practices in cross-border finance

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with US GAAP and IFRS experience.
• Typically 8 years of accounting experience.
• Experience in US listed company and cross-border supply chains.
• Multinational experience in shared services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead all accounting aspects for product lines; ensure finance operations and accounting are designed and tested.
• Drive the accounting voice in core working groups; maintain up-to-date process flows and SOPs.
• Coordinate involvement of the finance team to maximize efficiency and minimize time spent by others.
• Design and present updates on therapeutic area statuses to stakeholders.
• Escalate risks and issues promptly and track resolution with transparency.
