Canadian Pacific Kansas City (CPKC) is seeking an experienced Manager, Accounting Policy to support the integrity and quality of external financial reporting, ensuring US GAAP, SEC disclosures, and regulatory compliance across the organization.

The role requires a CPA with seven or more years of progressive accounting experience, exceptional technical accounting expertise, sound judgment, and the ability to clearly communicate complex matters to finance and non‑finance stakeholders, while

Qualifications

• CPA designation with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial reporting, accounting policy, or technical accounting.
• Experience with US GAAP, IFRS, or SEC reporting in a large public company or Big 4 environment.
• Strong communication skills to explain complex matters to finance and non-finance audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounting Policy work plan with prioritization and resource planning.
• Monitor US GAAP and SEC developments; assess impacts and update policies as needed.
• Research, document, and communicate technical accounting conclusions.
• Collaborate with Finance and business teams to resolve accounting matters and provide training.
• Manage quarterly contract reviews, disclosures, and coordination with external auditors.
