Job summary

CPKC is seeking a Manager, Accounting Policy in Kansas City to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and oversee external financial reporting processes. The successful candidate will provide technical accounting guidance on complex matters and collaborate with business teams while managing stakeholder relationships.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience in financial reporting or accounting policy.
• Experience in a large public company or Big 4 accounting firm.
• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Accounting Policy work plan.
• Monitor changes in U.S. GAAP, assess impacts to CPKC, and update policies.
• Research technical accounting conclusions for complex transactions.
