Job summary

Lakemary-Center,-Inc is seeking an Accounting Operations Manager to lead the finance department in Paola, KS. You will supervise the accounting operations team, implement policies, and ensure accurate financial processes across billing, AP, payroll, and grants management.

The role requires a CPA or advanced degree preferred and 7+ years of nonprofit finance leadership, with strong accounting principles and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA or advanced degree preferred for leadership roles.
• 7+ years of progressive nonprofit finance experience with leadership responsibility.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the Accounting Operations team (Billing, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Representative Payee).
• Develop, implement, and monitor accounting policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of billing, accounts payable, payroll, and representative payee functions.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and coordinate with auditors.
