Job summary

Real Time Consulting seeks an experienced Accounting & Business Operations Manager in Phoenix, AZ. The role partners with the CFO to oversee finance, accounting, payroll, and business operations, ensuring accuracy, governance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities cover month-end close, audits, cost control, policy development, and multi-state payroll. Candidates should have a accounting degree, 10+ years’ experience, and strong analytical skills for a fast-paced, technical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 10+ years in an accounting/finance role with similar responsibilities.
• Strong understanding of accounting, finance, and management principles.
• Experience in audit preparation and document retention.
• 5+ years payroll processing experience.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks is a plus.
• Experience writing policies and procedures for accounting.
• Advanced MS Excel skills and proficient MS Office usage.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end and year-end close activities and forecasts.
• Maintain accurate financial records and manage audits.
• Oversee accounting operations and project reporting.
• Manage AP, expense reviews, and cost controls.
• Coordinate payroll processing for multi-state employees.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
• Manage insurance programs and compliance activities.
• Generate business and profitability reports for operations.
