Job summary

Southwest Accounting Resources, Inc is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager in Scottsdale to oversee daily accounting operations and strengthen processes for a growing organization.

You will lead, coach, and develop the team while partnering with cross-functional leaders to ensure accurate financial reporting and robust internal controls. CPA is required and healthcare/private equity experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license required.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience required.
• 2+ years of direct people leadership experience including hiring, training, coaching and performance management.
• Experience supervising transactional accounting functions (AP and GL).
• Healthcare, multi-site, or private equity-backed experience preferred.

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for our client in Scottsdale to lead key day-to-day accounting operations while helping to strengthen and improve the processes that support a growing organization. Working closely with the Assistant Controller and cross-functional leaders, you will help identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, strengthen internal controls, resolve issues, and support the organization's financial objectives. You will also play an important role in leading, coaching, and developing the accounting team, creating an environment where team members can develop their skills and take the next steps in their careers. Education

• Experience supervising transactional accounting functions, including accounts payable and general ledger activities.
• Experience working in a healthcare, multi-site, or private equity-backed organization is preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop accounting professionals.
• Proven experience reviewing staff work for accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
