Job summary

Thrive Physical Therapy Partners is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting to join our growing accounting team. This role will support key areas including financial reporting, month-end close, audit, M&A integration, and process and system improvements.

The Senior Manager will initially serve as a senior individual contributor reporting directly to the Assistant Controller, with significant ownership over accounting, reporting, and cross-functional initiatives.

Qualifications

• CPA is preferred.
• 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience including public accounting audit/assurance.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP.
• Experience with financial statement preparation, month-end close, and audits.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex accounting projects and competing priorities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, growing environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar ERP is a plus.
• Healthcare/private equity-backed experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly and year-end close processes.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and analyses.
• Assist with financial statements in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
• Perform analyses to identify trends and variances.
• Own complex accounting workstreams and improve processes.
• Support accounting, tax, and compliance initiatives as needed.
• Lead the financial and accounting integration of acquisitions.
