Job summary

US Physical Therapy in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage complex accounting operations, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. You will lead month-end close, prepare financial statements, and support M&A integration for regional clinics.

The role requires 3–5 years of accounting experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication with stakeholders is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Advanced Excel and Great Plains or similar accounting software.
• SOX compliance experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close activities and review revenues/expenses and balance sheet accounts.
• Review and approve invoices for GL coding, authorization, and payment.
• Calculate and record clinic-level bonuses.
• Prepare and record expense allocation journal entries.
• Assist in preparing financial statements for regional partnerships.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for key accounts.
• Prepare financial, operational and metric trends and review for reasonableness.
• Respond to partner inquiries.
• Prepare audit schedules.
• Support M&A activity in the region.
