Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Senior Manager, Accounting - North America to lead the LSG accounting team and partner with GBS and corporate accounting. You will drive the monthly close, ensure SOX compliance, and conduct technical accounting research for complex issues.

You will mentor staff, collaborate across functions, and champion process improvements and automation. A CPA and 7+ years of leadership experience are required, with a strong U.S. GAAP background in a global setting.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting/finance leadership experience with public accounting and industry background.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and complex accounting areas.
• Proven ability to lead month-end close in a global, matrixed org.

Responsabilités

• Oversee monthly closing of LSG North America ledgers and enforce close timeliness.
• Provide oversight of site controllers and GBS accounting activities per policy and SOX.
• Perform balance sheet flux analyses and technical accounting research.
• Act as a site accounting resource and liaison to corporate technical accounting.
• Lead balance sheet reviews and drive timely corrective actions.
• Coordinate with GBS and external auditors for audits and reviews.
• Coach and develop team members with performance discussions.
• Identify and drive automation and process improvement initiatives.
