PSC Group in Houston, TX seeks a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team, owning the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. You will ensure accuracy, GAAP compliance, and high-quality reporting while partnering with operations and finance to support strategic initiatives.

The role requires hands-on leadership, deep technical accounting knowledge, and a proven ability to develop a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced environment.

Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (U.S. GAAP required).
• Proven leadership experience managing and developing teams.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and improve the month-end close process.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals, fostering accountability and growth.
• Own and drive monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accuracy and timeliness.
• Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial analyses.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company policies.
• Lead research and interpretation of complex accounting standards.
• Design, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting.
• Collaborate with line‑of‑business finance partners to support decision‑making.
