Job summary

Tenax Aerospace is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Finance and Accounting team onsite. You will support general ledger maintenance, month-end close, financial reporting, and audits across multiple entities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires strong GAAP knowledge, advanced Excel skills, and proactive problem solving. CPA is a plus, with potential involvement in acquisitions and tax-related responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting is required.
• 3 years of progressive experience in corporate accounting is required.
• CPA license is a plus.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel is required.
• ERP experience is a plus.
• Federal government contracting experience is preferred.
• SEC and SOX experience is a plus.
• Experience working with multiple legal entities is preferred.
• Solid working knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills are required.
• Strong research and analytical skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Accounting team with GAAP-compliant policies, systems and processes.
• Perform ongoing general ledger maintenance.
• Support annual financial audit and tax return preparation.
• Support acquisition and/or major transaction accounting requirements.
• Research accounting treatments of transactions.
• Prepare information for quarterly Board of Directors meetings.
• Prepare, reconcile and maintain subsidiary ledgers.
• Review, analyze and reconcile accounting transactions.
• Record recurring accounting entries in the general ledger.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Prepare schedules and workpapers for close, audit, Board materials, bank covenants and tax returns.
• Generate ad hoc reports as requested by the Accounting Manager.
