Job summary

Group CBS, Inc. seeks an experienced accounting leader to manage the accounting functions and supervise the accounting staff, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.

You will oversee journal entries, reconciliation processes, and financial reporting across entities, while supporting audits and internal controls in a manufacturing environment. This role reports to the Controller and emphasizes accuracy and timely close.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing & cost accounting.
• Experience leading teams and implementing process improvements.
• Experience working with multiple sites and legal entities in multiple states.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, create detailed reports, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation workbook and provide first-level review for Controller.
• Summarize current financial status and assist in balance sheet, P&L, and other reports.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with accounting, tax and financial regulations.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Maintain fixed asset register and depreciation schedules.
• Maintain internal controls and protect confidentiality of financial information.
• Coordinate with staff accountants, AR/AP to meet deadlines with accuracy.
• Drive monthly closing schedule and ensure milestones are met.
