Job summary

Food Management Search, Inc. is seeking an experienced accounting leader to supervise month-end and year-end closes, deliver internal financial reporting, and support payroll and disbursement activities. You will interact with staff at all levels and collaborate with external vendors, auditors, banks, and customers.

The role requires 7+ years of accounting, GAAP and SOX knowledge, and strong Excel/Access capabilities. CPA or MBA and SAP experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of accounting experience, including supervisory experience in a high-volume transaction environment.
• Strong understanding and application of GAAP.
• Demonstrated knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to lead teams through change and manage multiple projects in a high-volume environment.
• Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Access and SAP experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise associates and oversee staffing, coaching, performance management, and problem resolution.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close processes.
• Perform and review complex accounting reconciliation and analysis.
• Direct general ledger, vendor billing, cash reconciliation, fixed assets, and related capex accounting.
• Provide strategic recommendations for process improvements and resource optimization.
• Maintain integrity of the general ledger and strong internal controls.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and support audits as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
