Job summary

Paperless Parts in Boston is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to own day-to-day financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll review and reconciliation, and the annual external audit processes.

As a player-coach, you will supervise and mentor a Staff Accountant, enforce US GAAP compliance, and work cross-functionally to optimize workflows and deliver timely, accurate financial reporting for leadership decision-making.

Qualifications

• Active CPA designation.
• Hands-on US GAAP and ASC 606 knowledge.
• Experience leading core accounting operations and month-end close.
• Experience supervising junior accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full-cycle day-to-day accounting operations under US GAAP and ASC 606.
• Direct and mentor staff accountant through AP, AR, cash receipts, and reconciliations.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with accurate financial statements.
• Coordinate payroll review with HR and ensure proper GL allocations and tax entries.
• Manage external auditors and tax preparers, supporting documentation and filings.
• Optimize accounting software and internal controls for scale.
