Job summary

Seacoast Bank seeks a senior accounting leader to manage the daily accounting function, ensure GAAP compliance, and drive timely month-end closings. You will oversee accounts payable, liaise with auditors, and support strategic finance initiatives within a banking environment.

The role requires extensive experience in public or corporate accounting, strong communication skills, and a CPA in preferred. You will lead process improvements and ensure data integrity across financial systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting; CPA a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in public accounting or accounting within a large public corporation.
• Banking/financial services experience with knowledge of banking products and accounting issues.
• Mastery of GAAP accounting concepts and current reporting practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Process improvement oriented with ability to manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily accounting activities including general ledger operations, balancing and reconciliations.
• Analyze transactions for GAAP application and accuracy.
• Oversee month-end close process and ensure timely completion.
• Supervise accounts payable and coordinate with auditors and regulators.
• Act as liaison with internal/external auditors during audits and reviews.
• Adhere to Code of Conduct and Company policies.
