Job summary

DailyLook in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead the accounting team and ensure GAAP and SOX compliance. You will oversee Revenue, Inventory, Intercompany, Payroll, AP, and accruals, and drive the month-end close and financial reporting.

You'll partner with the VP of Accounting and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls enhancements, mentoring staff and coordinating internal and external audits in a fast-paced, on-site environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Financial Management, or a closely related field of study.
• CPA license required.
• Six (6) years of experience as an Accountant, Auditor, Assurance Senior, Assurance Manager, or related role.
• 3 years of management experience.
• 6 years of experience with SOX 404 compliance and internal controls.
• 6 years of experience with GAAP and Financial Reporting.
• 6 years of experience in public accounting, including auditing public companies in accordance with PCAOB standards and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to the VP of Accounting and Finance.
• Oversee accounting operations with GAAP and SOX compliance; provide leadership and drive strategic financial decision-making.
• Oversee core accounting areas including Revenue, Inventory, Intercompany Transactions, Payroll, AP, and Accruals.
• Lead month-end close by preparing and reviewing accounting entries and reconciliations.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and financial regulations.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead audits and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Mentor and supervise accounting team members.
• Collaborate with finance and other teams.
• Engage in special projects, ERP enhancements, and ad hoc analyses.
• Be a proactive, detail-driven team player in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate autonomy and initiative in process optimization.

• Play a key role in the month end financial statement close process by preparing, reviewing and analyzing accounting entries and account reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with GAAP and other financial regulations.
• Partner with Finance to manage budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Lead audits and coordinate with internal and external auditors.
• Implement and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Supervise and mentor accounting team members.
• Partner with finance and other teams.
• Work closely with the VP of Accounting and Finance for other responsibilities (i.e., special projects, ERP enhancements, internal controls, and ad hoc analyses as requested).

The base /pay for this position ranges from $150,000-$170,000. This is an exempt position. Pay is based on a number of factors including job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
