Senior Business Solutions Manager at Ledgent Finance & Accounting

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strong leadership that fosters a positive culture, high engagement, and team development.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing through effective training, coaching, problem-solving, and performance management.
  • Maintain fiscal records, lead month-end close, and prepare financial reports summarizing performance, trends, and forecasts.
  • Conduct monthly and quarterly analytical reviews for assigned locations and consolidated results.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance internal controls.
  • Oversee general ledger entries, reconciliation reviews, and close processes; analyze and communicate results to senior leadership.
  • Partner with external accounting and tax professionals on reporting and compliance.
  • Support budget planning, forecasting, and procurement-related financial activities.
  • Manage all timelines and deliverables tied to financial close and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit monthly sales tax returns.
  • Assist with annual audit preparation, tax filings, and other compliance requirements.
  • Provide cross-functional backup support within the accounting department.
  • Identify and mitigate risk across assigned business units.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of leadership experience within a complex, multi-location organization
  • Strong conceptual judgment with the ability to solve complex accounting challenges
  • Deep understanding of general ledger processes, reconciliations, and payroll workflows
  • Highly analytical and deadline-driven
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to evaluate solutions, anticipate issues, and implement improvements
  • Strong persuasion, diplomacy, and team-building abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and the ability to learn new systems
