Job summary

The Hankey Group in Los Angeles, CA is seeking a Senior Accountant for an on-site role reporting to the Corporate Accounting Manager. You will prepare financial reports, perform account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and assist with audit preparations while exercising GAAP knowledge and strong financial analysis under minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include month-end entries, balance sheet maintenance, audit support, issue resolution, and helping enhance accounting systems,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  • 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Strong financial analysis skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organizational and stress management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel.
  • Ability to train and manage staff.
  • Ability to work with little to no supervision.

  • Assisting with annual audit preparations.

  • Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.

What’s the expected pay for this role?
  • $90,000 - $115,000 per year
  • The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire and will be dependent on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, skill set, experience, education, credentials, and licensure when applicable.
