Overview

Cherry Bekaert Staffing & Recruiting is partnered with a rapidly growing government contractor seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to join its Dallas-based team. This is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role, overseeing day-to-day accounting operations while driving process improvements and ensuring compliance with government contracting regulations and supporting continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, AP, PR, Billing, AR, and cash management
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Ensure compliance with FAR, CAS, and DCAA requirements
• Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and payments
• Maintain audit‑ready workpapers and support internal and external audits
• Assist in leveraging ERP systems and support automation and process improvements
• Collaborate regarding SOX compliance to ensure internal controls operating effectively

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship required, CPA preferred, and Big 4 or national public accounting firm preferred
• Bachelor’s in accounting or finance with 8+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with EAC forecasting and revenue recognition (ASC 606)
• Hands‑on experience with QuickBooks required
• Prior experience with Deltek Costpoint strongly preferred
• Experience working in a government contractor with at least $50M in revenue
