Senior Accounting Manager

We are seeking a Senior Accounting Leader to provide accounting leadership to the Dairy Foods business segment. The Dairy Foods portfolio operates to provide marketplace access and ensure dairy vitality for our 1,300 dairy member owners. The portfolio includes multiple segments such as Retail, Foodservice, and Ingredients, spanning a geographically diverse network of 11 owned manufacturing facilities and several co-manufacturing partners, with $5B in net sales. CPA is required for this role.

This position is located at our Arden Hills, MN Corporate Headquarters with a hybrid work arrangement each week.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ensure financial records for the Dairy Foods business segment are prepared in accordance with GAAP, company policies, and compliance standards.
2. Support external and internal audits of financial records.
3. Partner with business unit leadership and FP&A to add value and insights from a finance and accounting perspective on strategic initiatives and business transactions.
4. Develop accounting processes for new business ventures and strategies.
5. Lead the Dairy Foods Accounting team, maintaining high engagement through focused management, coaching, and accountability for an experienced team of three accounting managers and their direct reports (total organization approximately 30 employees).
6. Drive process improvements and adoption of best practices leveraging technologies to enhance management reporting and accounting processes.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
• Prior leadership experience is required.
• Public accounting experience and/or a master’s degree is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of the dairy industry is a plus.

Additional Information

Hiring Range: $120,880 - $182,160. Candidates can expect to be hired near the middle of this range in most cases.
