KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting seeks a hands-on Senior Accounting Manager for a growing life sciences organization in Burlington, MA. You will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvements with leadership visibility.

You will lead close cycles, multi-entity accounting, and technical accounting matters while driving internal controls and scalable processes for rapid growth.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of progressive accounting experience, startup or growth org preferred.
• CPA and/or Public Accounting experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, general ledger accounting, financial reporting, and month-end close.
• Experience building accounting processes, internal controls, and scalable controls.

Responsibilities

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes with improved timelines and reporting accuracy.
• Oversee general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, AP, and financial statement prep.
• Prepare financial reporting and provide analysis for management.
• Manage multi-entity accounting, intercompany transactions, and consolidations.
• Oversee technical accounting matters including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity-related transactions.
• Lead audit preparation and coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors.
• Develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems, automation, and operational efficiency.
