Job summary

CBX Global seeks a Senior Accounting Specialist in Jacksonville, FL to oversee core accounting operations, manage GL closings, and lead AR/AP teams. You will work with finance leadership to strengthen processes and controls while ensuring accurate reporting.

The role emphasizes hands-on accounting, team development, and collaboration across departments to support growth and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• CPA, CMA, or other relevant professional accounting certification is a plus but not required.
• Minimum of two years of direct supervisory experience within an accounting department.
• Minimum of five years of progressive, hands-on accounting experience including GL, month-end closing, reconciliations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations including AP/AR and GL activity.
• Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, reconciliations and schedules.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing processes with accuracy.
• Provide leadership to AR and AP teams and develop staff.
• Collaborate with finance leadership to improve reporting and controls.
• Support external audits and annual reporting requirements.
• Identify process improvements and control enhancements.
