Job summary

Aurora Solar is seeking a strategic, hands-on accounting leader to scale our financial operations. Reporting to the Controller, you will lead a four-person team responsible for the general ledger, accounts payable, and payroll.

You’ll drive accuracy, accountability, and process improvements to stay audit-ready and GAAP-compliant as we grow. This high-impact role requires collaboration across functions and a pragmatic approach to building scalable financial systems.

Qualifications

• Plan and implement the accounting close process to ensure US GAAP compliance.
• Manage complex accounting processes for software development, allocations, stock-based compensation, commission capitalization, intercompany and consolidation.
• Oversee end-to-end payroll, benefits accounting, and quarterly and annual payroll tax filings.
• Oversee all Accounts Payable functions including expense reporting and accruals.
• Review journal entries, reconciliations, and identify key trends in the P&L and balance sheet.
• Lead preparation for annual financial audit, coordinating with external auditors and internal stakeholders.
• Champion team growth through mentorship and hands-on leadership.
• Build scalable systems that drive efficiency and transparency.

Responsibilities
