Job summary

Department of Labor & Industries in Washington state seeks a Fiscal Analyst 3 to oversee accounting operations, reconcile ledgers, and ensure timely processing in AFRS. You will lead monthly, quarterly, and annual reconciliations and support capital asset management and accounts payable activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED AND four (4) years of fiscal or related experience.
• OR Equivalent combination of experience and education may be used to qualify for the four (4) years of fiscal or related experience such as: Two (2) years of fiscal experience AND Two (2) years of college courses).
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Experience in training, coaching, mentoring, and providing feedback to staff in a lead position or supervisory role.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that AFRS and related systems interface on a daily basis and that all items are processed within the same business day.
• Perform daily reconciliation process to ensure all batches have posted.
• Review the un-balanced, in-process report daily and ensure all errors have been corrected.
• Prepare and send the daily Washington State Investment Board (WSIB) investment projection instructions as well as other bi-weekly and annual investment projections.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual balance sheet reconciliations. Update reconciliation templates and prepare service requests to update system reports where there is a change in business process or accounting requirements.
